Most cash advance apps require a phone download and a mobile account setup. FrontPay takes a different approach: everything happens in a browser at joinfrontpay.com, with no app to install. That alone sets it apart in this directory. There are also a few tradeoffs, starting with the cost structure, that are worth knowing before you subscribe.

What is FrontPay?

FrontPay Holdings, LLC runs a web-only cash advance platform at joinfrontpay.com. There is no mobile app. The service is aimed at workers with regular direct deposits who cannot or prefer not to install an app. Note: FrontPay’s FAQ warns of a different, unrelated App Store app that shares a similar name. The legitimate service is only at joinfrontpay.com.

FrontPay Cash Advance at a glance

  • Max advance: $100
  • Typical range: $15 to $100 (not guaranteed)

  • Express fee: Not disclosed on the public site; amount shown only when you apply for an advance
  • Standard delivery: Within about 12 hours of approval, free
  • Eligibility: 3 or more recurring direct deposits of at least $400 each
  • Platform: Website only (joinfrontpay.com), no mobile app
  • No credit check, no interest, no late fees

Fees: what FrontPay actually costs

FrontPay’s cost structure is straightforward on the subscription side but opaque on express delivery.

The monthly subscription is $14.99. FrontPay’s site uses the language “try it until your next direct deposit arrives before you are charged,” but the exact trial structure and billing alignment are ambiguous. Do not assume a fixed free-trial period; confirm in the product before subscribing.

The express delivery fee is not shown on the public website. It only appears when you actually apply for an advance. We estimate this fee is around $5.99 based on comparable apps, but FrontPay has not published a number. Standard delivery (within about 12 hours of approval, up to 2 business days) is free.

At $14.99 per month for a $100 maximum advance, FrontPay has the highest subscription-to-advance-ceiling ratio in our directory. If you use it 1.5 times per month with express delivery, the all-in cost approaches $16 for a $100 advance.

How FrontPay works

Go to joinfrontpay.com and create an account. FrontPay will connect to your bank to verify your direct deposit history. You need at least 3 recurring deposits of $400 or more to qualify. FrontPay evaluates your history and sets your advance limit, which can be anywhere from $15 to $100.

Once you request an advance, standard delivery arrives within about 12 hours of approval. Express delivery is faster, though the fee is shown only at that step. Repayment is automatic on your next payday. You can only have one active advance at a time.

No app required. Access FrontPay entirely in your browser.

How to cancel FrontPay

  1. Sign in at joinfrontpay.com and look in Account or Settings for membership.
  2. If you subscribed through a store listing by mistake, check that store. FrontPay says a similarly named app is not them.
  3. If you have an unpaid advance, repay it first. Only one advance can be open at a time.
  4. If you cannot find a cancel path, contact FrontPay support from the site and ask to cancel the $14.99 membership.
  5. Confirm the charge is stopped.

Important: Deleting the app from your phone does not cancel your account or stop billing.
